Action Works Nepal is a local NGO founded by Radha Paudel, an internationally known woman activist, recognized for her vital work to help the most vulnerable and marginalized of Nepali society. They are the ones that have borne the brunt of this terrible earthquake. Members of AWON know what is needed, they know how to help. They’ve walked from rural village to rural village, establishing trusting relationships, providing funds and humanitarian aid long before this horrific disaster. Being a local NGO, they have no red tape to fight through.
All funds raised go directly to the people. Time is critical to the survivors; they cannot wait. Help is not reaching those in rural villages. Frustration at the lack of help, and anguish at horrific conditions are resulting in anger, and people are lashing out. Food, clean water, warm shelter, medical supplies, and transportation all are needed. Funds and supplies sitting behind red tape do nothing to help survivors. Please help save lives by donating to a local NGO with a proven track record in helping those most in need.
Please donate. Please share. It is vital to get the word out to as many people as possible. And please continue to pray for Nepal and for the safety of her people! Namaste.
